Stroke is a high-risk disease, being the second cause of mortality worldwide and the 3rd cause of disability. Every year, more than 795,000 people in the United States have a stroke. About 610,000 of these are first or new strokes. About 185,000 strokes—nearly 1 of 4—are in people who have had a previous stroke.
So that any of those millions of stroke-disabled people wheelchair-bound worldwide could benefit from them when they return home from the hospital. The aim is not to rehabilitate but to help them to stand up and walk, improving this way their quality of life and health and giving them and their relatives back joy and hope.
We envision a world where nor price nor ergonomics will be an obstacle to the tech that today can make it happen.
